JCFF 2025 Records Collaboration Value Reaching IDR 55.8 Billion

JAKARTA - Ibrahim, Head of the East Java Representative Office of Bank Indonesia (BI), stated that the 2025 Java Coffee and Flavors Fest (JCFF) achieved a cooperation value of IDR 55.8 billion, including IDR 33.7 billion from trade agreements and IDR 22.1 billion from business matching financing.

"This figure is much higher than last year's figure of around IDR 30 billion. The initial target of IDR 50 billion has even been exceeded," he said, as reported by ANTARA on Monday, August 25.

JCFF 2025 is the largest coffee festival in East Java, showcasing a variety of Indonesian coffee products while showcasing the potential of superior chocolate and spices such as cloves, pepper, and nutmeg.

The event, which runs until August 25, 2025, in Surabaya's Old Town, is attended by 40 MSMEs in the coffee, chocolate, and spice sectors, as it serves as a promotional platform for superior commodities.

Ibrahim explained that from the outset, his company has targeted IDR 30 billion in trade transactions, with an additional IDR 20 billion in MSME financing.

However, the achievement exceeded expectations, with the cooperation value reaching IDR 55.8 billion due to high public enthusiasm for the growing coffee trend.

Furthermore, Indonesia remains among the top four to five global coffee producers, along with Vietnam, Colombia, and Ethiopia, so it must be optimally utilized, especially when production disruptions occur in competing countries.

"Indonesian coffee prices are relatively competitive, so we have a significant opportunity to expand the global market," he said.

Furthermore, the East Java Bank (BI) assesses that East Java is not only strong in the food sector but also has extraordinary plantation potential.

Nearly half of Java's coffee production comes from East Java, plus the potential for chocolate and spices, which contribute significantly to national demand.

"BI, together with its partners, is encouraging farmers to develop roasting and post-harvest processing skills so that their products can be sold at a higher price and be more competitive in the market," Ibrahim said.
