Will Build The First International Hospital In Cakung, Pramono Make Sure To Accept BPJS Patients
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will build an international standard hospital in the Cakung area, East Jakarta, under the name Royal Batavia Cakung Hospital.
DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung ensured that the first international hospital belonging to the local government in Jakarta received BPJS patients to undergo treatment when it was operational.
"This hospital will accommodate both BPJS and non-BPJS, of course," said Pramono in Cakung, East Jakarta, Monday, August 25.
The international hospital will begin construction in 2026 and is targeted for completion by the end of 2027 with a source of costs from the regional budget (APBD).
Royal Batavia Cakung Hospital was built with an area of about 1.9 hectares, planned to have 282 treatment rooms with 13 floors and 2 basements.
This hospital building is in the form of a stage that adapts the concept of the Betawi stage house. There is also a typical Betawi geometric ornament, namely a net site that adorns the building.
"This is the first time the design of the hospital will appear in Betawi color. As soon as people arrive, the Betawi face is there. So far, there is no Betawi face in the hospital, but I'm sure this will be possible," said Pramono.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Health Office Ani Ruspitawati explained the reason for the placement of international hospitals in Cakung. According to him, Cakung is the largest sub-district in East Jakarta with more than 500 thousand residents.
Meanwhile, currently there are only two hospitals that serve health care in Cakung, namely Harapan Jayakarta Hospital and Class C private hospital.
Then, the prevalence rate of infection diseases in Cakung, continued Ani, was quite large, namely 21,648 cases. In addition, the number of traffic accidents in Cakung is also quite high.
"This is one of the basics of Royal Batavia hospitals in the future, it will be determined to have superior services for emerging or PIE infection diseases and trauma centers that will become centers of excellence from the Royal Batavia Cakung hospital," explained Ani.
