House Of Representatives: Don't Block People From Homecoming, Foreigners Allowed To Enter
JAKARTA - Member of Commission V of the House of Representatives Irwan Fecho appreciated the decision of The Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi who banned flights using charter aircraft during the homecoming ban of May 6-17, 2021.
The Minister of Transportation also asked workers who will fly to Indonesia in that period to postpone their trip.
"Although sluggish and dependent on the public response that is resistant to chartering aircraft from foreign nationals (FOREIGNERS) to Indonesia, but this is a government policy that deserves appreciation," said Irwan Fecho, Tuesday, May 11.
However, the Democratic politician reminded the government to be more strictly under scrutiny so that the policy is actually implemented in the field.
"The Ministry of Transportation as a regulator must dare to act decisively if there are airlines that violate the policy," said Irwan.
The Legislator of East Kalimantan hopes that the policy can provide a sense of fairness to the people who are prohibited from going home by the government. Because, lately many foreigners who enter Indonesia ranging from WN India and China.
"Do not the people themselves are prevented from going home, but foreigners are free to go in and out of Indonesia for reasons that seem forced and contradictory to the policies issued by the government," said Irwan.
