'Relax! Relax!' Shouted DPR Protesters Pushed Back By Police Water Cannons

JAKARTA - Police sprayed water cannons at protesters in front of the DPR/MPR RI Building in Jakarta on Monday, August 28.

According to VOI monitoring at 12:43 p.m. WIB (Western Indonesian Time), protesters who were pushed back by officers pleaded for a ceasefire.

"Relax," shouted some protesters.

Those in front of the DPR Building were pushed by officers using a water cannon truck toward Gerbang Pemuda street.

Several protesters were injured. They were assisted by other protesters to move away from the road in front of the DPR Building.
