Jafar/Felisha Want To Revenge On Malaysia At The 2025 World Championship
JAKARTA - Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu are preparing to take revenge for Chen Tang Jie/Toh Ee Wei (Malaysia) if they meet in the last 16 of the 2025 Badminton World Championships (BWF World Championships 2025).
The 2025 Badminton World Championships will take place on August 25-31 at the Adidas Arena, Paris, France. This is the debut appearance of Jafar/Felisha at the prestigious event.
Jafar/Felisha got an empty draw in the first half. The pair waited for the winner between Mihajlo Tomic/Andjela Vitman (Serbia) and Mysha zilberman/Svetlana Zilberman (Israel) in the second half.
Jafar said that the draw put them on a difficult track because there was a possibility of meeting Chen Tang Jie/Toh Ee Wei, the fourth seed in the tournament.

"It is possible that in the round of 16 we will face Chen Tang Jie/Toh Ee Wei. We have lost twice. So, if we meet again, I want to avenge the defeat," said Jafar.
Both Jafar/Felisha' defeats to Chen/Toh all occurred this year, respectively at the Indonesia Masters 2025 in January and the Japan Open 2025 in July.
Chen/Toh also got a vacant draw in the first round of the tournament. They will wait for Leong Iok Chong/Ng Weng Chi (Macau) versus Rohan Kapoor/Gadde Ruthvika Shivani (India).
Jafar said that playing at the World Championships was his dream and wish. He admits he is very excited to appear in Paris this year.
"Even though I'm really excited, I still have to control myself not to get too excited and stay calm in my game," said Jafar.
Indonesia has sent a total of 12 representatives to the World Championships this year. From the mixed doubles sector, Jafar/Felisha came down with the pair Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, who will start the struggle from the first round.
Gregoria Mariska Tunjung is the only Indonesian representative to take part on the first day of the tournament, Monday, August 25, 2025. He will face the representative of the Czech Republic, Petra Maixnerova.
