Indonesia Wins 1 Gold And 2 Bronze At IFSC Youth Asian Championships 2025

JAKARTA The young Indonesian rock climbing team managed to make brilliant achievements by winning one gold medal and two bronze medals at the IFSC Youth Asian Championships 2025.

The tournament, which was held in Guiyang, China, on August 20-24, 2025, was attended by athletes aged U-17 and U-19. Indonesia also sent 13 representatives there.

The only gold medal for Indonesia was contributed by Haddan Malik Baqmuhyibar from the U-17 men's speed number. Haddan defeated the seeded athlete Zhao Yichang in the final round.

Haddan's victory was confirmed after his opponent made a false start or start error. Haddan also managed to take advantage of the wildcard he got and lock up the position of champion.

The two bronze medals for Indonesia were won by Naura Jasmine Rayya Syafiqa and Anstasyafi Robby Al Hilmi, respectively from the U-17 women's speed number and U-19 men's speed number.

Naura successfully brought home a bronze medal after defeating South Korean athlete Juyeon Ham, with a time of 8.96 seconds. He was 0.12 seconds ahead of Juyeon who recorded a time of 9.08 seconds.

Meanwhile, Robby secured a bronze medal after beating Kazakstan's representative, Damir Toktarov, in the third place. Robby recorded a time of 5.31 seconds compared to Damir's 7.00 seconds.

Di luar nomor speed, atlet Indonesia juga menunjukkan perjuangan yang luar biasa. Salah satunya adalah Alma Ariella Tsany yang berhasil mencapai babak final lead putri U-17 dan menempati posisi keempat.

Alma actually won the same score as a silver and bronze medalist. However, he had to settle for fourth place due to tournament regulations that considered the results of the qualifying round.

From the U-17 men's boulder number, Ardana Cikal Damarwulan also managed to advance to the final round, but he finally ranked eighth. However, this result proves that Indonesian representatives can compete with leading countries such as South Korea and Japan.
