SDN Kalirungkut Wins All MLSC Surabaya Series 1 Titles
JAKARTA – SDN Kalirungkut I/264 dominated and won all the titles in the 12-year-old and 10-year-old age groups, respectively, in the 2025-2026 MilkLife Soccer Challenge (MLSC) Surabaya Series 1.
The 2025-2026 MilkLife Soccer Challenge (MLSC) Surabaya Series 1, which took place over five days at Brawijaya Stadium and Bogowonto Stadium, concluded its final match on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
In the 12-year-old category, SDN Kalirungkut I/264 successfully defended its title after defeating SDN Manukan Kulon II/499 B with a final score of 4-1. Previously, the team coached by Raedi Januar topped the podium at the 2025 MilkLife Soccer Challenge Surabaya in February.
Meanwhile, the 10-year-old team lifted the title after securing a victory over SDN Ngagel Rejo I/396. In the final match of the KU-10 class, SDN Kalirungkut I/264 successfully scored four goals without reply.
This was the first victory for the KU-10 team at the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Surabaya. Previously, in February 2025, they had to settle for runner-up.
The MilkLife Soccer Challenge Surabaya Series 1 2025-2026 was attended by 1,662 female students from 79 Islamic elementary schools (MI) and elementary schools (SD) from Surabaya and the surrounding areas.
They were divided into 88 KU-12 teams and 64 KU-10 teams to showcase their ball skills in the women's soccer tournament, initiated by the Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation and MilkLife.
The Head of the Surabaya City Education Office, Yusuf Masruh, fully supported the implementation of the MLSC Surabaya Series 1 2025-2026. He believes that sports like soccer also influence the development of female students' talents.
"Hopefully, from today on, they can share their experiences participating in tournaments so that they can learn from them and have an impact on other schools," he said.
Meanwhile, the head coach of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Surabaya, Sai Dong, stated that the quality of the participants in the 2025-2026 MilkLife Soccer Challenge Surabaya Series 1 has improved, both as teams and individually.
"I think this event has had a very strong impact on the Indonesian women's soccer ecosystem, from introducing the world of soccer from a very young age in Grade 8 to organizing tiered and sustainable tournaments," he said.
MilkLife Soccer Challenge Program Manager, Edi Supriyanto, stated that the 2025-2026 MLSC Surabaya Series 1 represents a commitment to continuously maintaining the growth of the women's soccer ecosystem in a tiered and sustainable manner.
"To further improve the skills of these young female soccer players, we plan to organize an inter-SSB league in Surabaya, the Hydroplus Soccer League U-14, so that the women's soccer development ecosystem can also progress to the next level," said Edi.
For the 2025-2026 MLSC Surabaya Series 1, five SSBs are opening direct registration for participants: Meta Football, Bina Yunior Surabaya FC, Haggana FC Surabaya, Bintang Derma FC, and Satria Muda Dewi.
