Preparing a Giant Sea Wall, President Trusts Didit Herdiawan to Manage the North Coast of Java
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Retired Vice Admiral Didit Herdiawan Ashaf as Head of the North Java Coast Management Authority (Pantura).
The inauguration took place at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday morning, based on Presidential Decree Number 76P of 2025 concerning the Appointment of the Head and Deputy Head of the North Java Coast Management Authority.
Didit Herdiawan, who has served as Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries since October 2024, has once again been entrusted by the President to lead the special agency responsible for tidal flood management and the construction of a giant sea wall in the Pantura area.
The native of Bulukumba, South Sulawesi, will lead the construction of the sea wall stretching from Banten to Gresik, East Java, with priority given to the Jakarta and Semarang areas.
In addition to Didit, the President also inaugurated Darwin Trisna Djajawinata, Director of Operations and Finance of PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero), and Suhajar Diantoro, former Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs, as Deputy Heads of the Pantura Management Authority Agency.
The inauguration ceremony was held simultaneously with the swearing-in of the Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for Judicial Affairs, the inauguration of the Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), the Head of the Mineral Industry Agency (BIN), the Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNNP), the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, and the awarding of state honors.
