From Palur Station To Solo Balapan, Vice President Gibran Wants Train Services To Be More Comfortable
SOLO - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka inspects the service of International Airport Train Adi Soemarmo (BIAS) by train from Palur Station to Solo Balapan Station, Central Java, Sunday, August 24.
During the visit, Gibran also monitored the progress of revitalization at nine stations, including Solo Balapan Station.
"I think the progress is quite good. These are nine stations that have been revitalized. Hopefully, the progress will run well and can improve services for train users," said Gibran at Solo Balapan Station, Antara, Sunday, August 24.
The vice president hopes that this revitalization can increase the comfort of long-distance train passengers. Based on observations, Gibran observed the flow of arrivals and train departures at Palur Station, Karanganyar Regency, before boarding the BIAS train.
During the journey of about 20 minutes, Gibran stood on the train while monitoring the passengers. Arriving at Solo Balapan Station, he again reviewed the service facilities accompanied by KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta staff.
For information, KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta inaugurated Palur Station as the termination of the BIAS train on the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, Sunday (17/8).
KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta Public Relations Manager Feni Novida Saragih said the dismissal of the BIAS train at Palur Station could increase public accessibility through intermodal integration.
