Thousands Of Malaysians Pray For Gaza In The Merdeka Plain, Anwar Ibrahim: This Is Not A Human, This Is An Animal
KUALA LUMPUR Thousands of Malaysians and Palestinian supporters gathered and prayed together for Gaza in an event titled Maint night and Selawat Malaysiaku with Gaza at the Merdeka Plain Field, Kuala Lumpur, Sunday night.
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim was also present at the public open event. In his oration, Anwar strongly condemns the killing of children in the Gaza Strip, school destruction, and places of worship.
"This is not a human (behavior), this is an animal," said Anwar, quoted from Antara, Sunday, August 24.
He believes Palestine will be free from oppression because history proves the truth will always win.
People began arriving and gathering in the Merdeka Plateau since 19.00 local time, ranging from adults, youth, to children.
The event was filled with the reading of the salawat and the declaration of Sumud Nusantara which strongly condemned the killing of children in Gaza as well as attacks on hospitals in Palestine.

On that occasion, a micro, small and medium enterprise product bazaar was also held as well as products with Islamic and Palestinian nuances. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Palestinian people.
