Realme Prepares Phones With 15,000mAh Giant Battery, Holds 50 Hours Streaming
JAKARTA Realme has again surprised the smartphone industry with its latest innovations. After some time ago teasing fans with the concept of a 10,000mAh battery-powered cellphone, now the Chinese company has officially revealed that the next device will be equipped with a giant battery of 15,000mAh.
This information was revealed through the latest teaser, where Realme displays a picture of a 15.000mAh cellphone that is clearly displayed on the back of the body. Although the capacity is very large, the design of this device does not look much different from conventional smartphones, far from the thick and bulk impressions such as jumbo battery powered rugby phones on the market.
Realme claims that its newest concept phone is able to last up to 50 hours non-stop for video streaming activity. This figure sounds astonishing, although it still makes sense to see the battery capacity implanted.

This is not the first time Realme has experimented with large battery technology. In May, the company briefly introduced GT Concept Phone with a 10,000mAh battery, which is equipped with silicon anode technology with the highest 10% silicon ratio in the industry at that time and energy density reaching 887Wh/L. As a result, the phone still has a slim size, with a thickness of just 8.5mm and a weight slightly above 200 grams.
With the same technology base, the 15,000mAh version is believed to use silicon-anode chemistry which is likely to only increase its capacity. The main challenge that is now of concern is how Realme can maintain a design that remains thin and light, while maintaining such a large battery temperature and safety.
As with the 10,000mAh model, this latest device is still a concept phone, so it is not certain when it will actually be marketed. Realme emphasized that more details regarding this device will be announced on August 27, 2025.
The Realme experiment with super-large batteries is considered an effort to push the boundaries of smartphone innovation, especially in the midst of market trends that are starting to stagnate in terms of design. If successfully realized in commercial products, Realme can be a pioneer in presenting extreme battery life without having to sacrifice the comfort of everyday use.
With this announcement, the public is also looking forward to Realme's further steps, whether this giant battery technology will actually be brought to the line of consumer products or remain a mere innovation show.
