2025/2026 Super League Results: Persib Failed To Type Full Points, Borneo Parties 3-1 Against Persijap
JAKARTA - Two different results occurred in the afternoon match week 3 of the Super League 2025/2026. PSIM Yogyakarta managed to thwart Persib's efforts, while Borneo FC had a big party after winning 3-1 at home to Persijap Jepara.
The PSIM Yogyakarta vs Persib Bandung match took place at the Sultan Agung Stadium, Bantul, Sunday, August 24 afternoon WIB. Despite playing away, Persib took the initiative to control the match since the initial whistle.
However, the PSIM tight defense made it difficult for Persib to create a clean opportunity. A number of shots released by Maung Bandung failed to meet the target.
PSIM was awarded a penalty in the 63rd minute after the referee reviewed Julio Cesar's foul on Nemin Haljeta. Ze Valente became the executor and calmly struck the ball into the right corner of the net and led the team 1-0 up.
Seven minutes later, it was Persib's turn to get a penalty after the referee inspected the VAR screen and saw Reva Adi's handball. But the execution of Utiam Barros still did not bear fruit.
Persib's efforts only paid off during injury time, precisely in the 96th minute. Patricio Matricardi's header from the right of Ramon Tanque's pass could make Maung Bandung equalize the score to 1-1.

The referee then blew the whistle against Reva Adi's foul on Putros in the 100th minute, then confirmed it through the VAR screen. But again the execution of Persib, this time by Marc Klok, failed after being chased away by the goalkeeper.
That moment also marked the end of the match. PSIM is temporarily in sixth position in the Super League standings with five points, one point ahead of Persib in seventh place.
Meanwhile at the Segiri Stadium, Samarinda, Borneo FC won 2-0 over Persijap Jepara. The hosts opened the scoring through Joel in the 24th minute, then doubled it through Mariano Peralta's penalty spot just before halftime.
Persijap was able to narrow the gap through Dicky Kurniawan's free kick in the 73rd minute. But Borneo scored again three minutes later, with Joel's strike to greet Peralta's cross.
This victory brought Borneo solid at the top of the Super League standings, collecting a perfect score of nine from the first three matches. Persijap in ninth place with four points.
