For The Sake Of Garut To Be More Comfortable, The Police Sweep Alcohol And Noisy Exhaust
Garut Resort Police confiscated dozens of bottles of liquor and noisy exhaust from raids overnight which were held in a number of urban areas in Garut Regency, West Java.
"This activity aims to create comfort and security for the community," said Garut Deputy Chief of Police, Kompol Bayu Tri Nugraha in Garut, Antara, Sunday, August 24.
Bayu explained that the operation was part of an Enhanced Routine Activity (KRYD) which was held from Saturday night to Sunday morning. The operation was deliberately carried out at night because there were frequent crowds of people in the city center and the outskirts of Garut.
"The main focus in this operation includes controlling traffic, monitoring the circulation of alcohol, and exhausts that do not match specifications," he said.
From the results of traffic control, the police found 48 vehicles using noisy exhausts. The authorities also took action against vehicles without complete documents such as STNK. In addition, the team found the location of the sale of illegal liquor with evidence of 53 bottles of alcohol.
"A total of 11 people suspected of being involved in thuggery activities have also been successfully secured for further guidance," said Bayu.
According to Bayu, the results of this operation show the effectiveness of efforts to maintain order and prevent potential security disturbances. His party ensures that night raids will continue to be carried out regularly.
