PT Timah Welcomes the Change of Work Plan and Budget Report to Annual
PANGKAL PINANG - PT Timah Tbk (TINS) welcomes the government's plan to change the annual work plan and budget (RKAB) submission to once every three years.
PT Timah's Director of Business Development, Suhendra Yusuf Ratuprawiranegara, stated that the change in the annual RKAB evaluation is a strategic and appropriate decision for companies holding large mining permits (IUPs) like PT Timah.
"We very much welcome this. IUP holders like PT Timah also welcome it," he said at a media conference in Pangkal Pinang on Sunday, August 24.
With annual reporting, IUP holders that have not met their annual production targets can be automatically evaluated.
"Parties who, sorry, are not productive with their IUPs will be automatically evaluated," he continued.
Suhendra also believes this decision is a way for the government and regulators to narrow the scope for illegal miners, as they are required to report their RKAB annually.
"One of the things that will also reduce or narrow the scope for legal mining," he emphasized.
For your information, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) is firmly implementing the annual Work Plan and Budget (RKAB) submission requirement. This new policy begins by requiring all mining companies to begin reporting their RKABs this coming October.
Tri Winarno, Director General of Minerals and Coal (Minerba) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, stated that this policy remains in effect for companies that have already received RKAB approval for the next three years. Therefore, all companies are required to submit a new RKAB for 2026.
"We'll continue in October. Repeat the process for 2026," Tri said, as quoted on Wednesday, July 23.
