AHY Wants To Improve Access And Connectivity In The Dieng Plateau Area
JAKARTA - Connectivity is the focus of the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) in developing the Dieng Plateau Area. With its potential, increasing access to the area is expected to boost tourism growth.
"This connectivity is important, because when it comes to tourism, the first thing to ask is access. If access is good, the road is wide enough and comfortable, I think it will be an attraction in itself," said Minister AHY after attending the hair loss ritual which is the peak of the 2025 Dieng Culture Festival (DCF) at the Arjuna Temple Complex, Dieng Plateau, Dieng Kulon Village, Batur District, Banjarnegara, citing ANTARA on Sunday, August 24.
From his experience towards Dieng from the direction of Wonosobo Regency, AHY saw that the road conditions that were traversed were still narrow and had the potential for traffic jams. As a follow-up, his party will coordinate with the technical ministry to ensure infrastructure support, including roads, can be strengthened gradually.
"Infrastructure development in this area is expected not only to advance tourism, but also to revive the MSME sector and the creative economy, as well as create jobs," said Minister AHY.

Meanwhile, Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi said infrastructure development in Central Java, including Dieng, had become a priority in the 2025 Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD).
"We will build infrastructure that connects the regional economy, both between provinces and between regencies, cities and villages," he said.
He said Dieng was part of the Central Java tourism agglomeration. Therefore, infrastructure development, including roads, aims to connect Dieng with other tourist destinations.
"Dieng cannot stand alone without us connecting it with other agglomerations of tourism. The budget for this program has been prepared," said the Governor.
