AFF Women's U-16 Cup 2025 Schedule: Indonesia Vs Malaysia National Team

JAKARTA - The U-16 Women's AFF Cup will roll again on Sunday, August 24 where the U-16 Indonesian Women's National Team will face Malaysia. The following is the schedule for the U-16 Women's AFF Cup matches.

The Indonesia Vs Malaysia match is the second match of Group A of the 2025 U-16 Women's AFF Cup. The duel will be played at Manahan Stadium, Solo, on Sunday, August 24 at 19.30 WIB.

Until now, Garuda Pertiwi Muda is still in first place in Group A standings with 3 points. The result was thanks to a 6-0 victory in the inaugural match against Timor Leste.

On the other hand, Malaysia stuck in second place which also collected 3 points. Malaysia only lost the goal difference from Indonesia because they only won 6-1 against Timor Leste.

This means that the Indonesian Women's National Team must win or at least draw against Malaysia if they want to qualify for the next round. Because only the best group winners and one runner-up have qualified for the semifinals of the 2025 U-16 Women's AFF Cup.

The coach of the Indonesian U-16 Women's National Team, Timo Scheunemann emphasized the mental aspect ahead of the match. He hopes his team can continue the positive trend as when defeating Timor Leste.

"Of course we want to win, our main goal is that we want to show Indonesian girls can play football," he said.
