Bank Indonesia Reveals Money Circulating July 2025 Reaches IDR 9,569.7 Trillion

YOGYAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) noted that economic liquidity or money circulated in a broad sense (M2) in July 2025 grew higher.

Executive Director of the BI Communication Department Junanto Herdiawan said that M2 growth in July 2025 was 6.5 percent (yoy), higher than the growth in June 2025 of 6.4 percent (yoy), so it was recorded at IDR 9,569.7 trillion.

"This development was driven by the narrow money supply (M1) growth of 8.7 percent (yoy) and quasi money of 4.8 percent (yoy)," he explained in his statement, quoted on Sunday, August 24.

Junanto said that the development of M2 in July 2025 was mainly influenced by net foreign assets and net bills to the Central Government (Pempus).

Meanwhile, credit disbursement in July 2025 grew by 6.6 percent (yoy), after previously growing by 7.6 percent (yoy).

Meanwhile, the net bill to the Pempus contracted by 6.2 percent (yoy), smaller than the contraction in June 2025 of 8.2 percent (yoy).

Meanwhile, net foreign assets in July 2025 grew by 7.3 percent (yoy), higher than the previous month's growth of 3.9 percent (yoy) so that it was recorded at IDR 2,004.1 trillion.
