Hansi Flick Doesn't Want Barcelona Players To Leave In The End Of The Exchange Period
JAKARTA - Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has confirmed that he does not want any players to leave suddenly this month.
Usually, the final days of the summer transfer market are very surprising. About a week after the transfer window closes, any deal is still possible.
As is known, ESPN reported that Marc Casado, Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, and Fermin Lopez were open to accepting offers.
Casado's situation is very complicated because the midfielder is not the first choice. ESPN said that Barcelona's Sports Director, Deco, realized the club still needed to make savings to comply with La Liga's financial rules.
Deco wants to have economic flexibility if the Blaugrana need to strengthen their squad in the January 2026 exchange and believe the offer of around 30 million euros for the Spaniard will be a good transaction.

However, Flick wants to keep his squad intact, including Casado, who has made 36 appearances for the first team of the 2024/2025 season.
"Of course I've spoken to him, but I don't think he wants to leave the club. I also want him to stay here because this season will be difficult. We need all the players we have right now."
"Of course, it's not easy for the players (who don't start every week), but this is football."
"They played for Barcelona. We are trying to achieve a lot of things this season and this is why we need all the players," Flick said at a press conference Friday, August 22, 2025, local time.
Lopez, who started the La Liga opener last weekend against Mallorca, is another young player who has attracted interest this summer. However, Flick insisted on defending him.
"I don't want to lose any more players because I think this season will be difficult. We need quality like this from Fermin."
"He performed very well last season, but also when we started this new season. I am happy with him, with all the players."
"I want to keep everyone here because with the options we have now, this is very good," said the German coach.
After Inigo Martinez's move to the Saudi Arabian Pro League, Barcelona has fewer players on the defense, which makes it unlikely that Araujo or Christensen will leave this month.
Araujo has filled Martinez's role with Pau Cubarsi at the heart of four defenders, while Christensen is reluctant to leave even though the club wants to raise costs for him this year before his contract expires next summer.
Meanwhile, midfielder Oriol Romeu will soon terminate his contract with the club. Then, goalkeeper Inaki Pena and young full-back Hector Fort can also leave in the coming days.
Romeu's departure should open up opportunities for defender Gerard Martin to be registered in Sunday's away game, August 24, 2025, against Levante. Meanwhile, registration for Wojciech Szczesny and Roony Bardghji for the first team is still delayed.
"I hope Gerard is available for (Levante). Of course I have spoken to him. This is my job. We'll see later tomorrow," Flick said.
