Free Gemini Users Can Now Create AI Videos With Veo 3
JAKARTA Google is increasing Veo 3 access for users who don't subscribe. This week, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) model that can make the video can be used by Gemini users for free.
Free users can create three video clips using Veo 3 Fast, a version that is twice as fast as the standard model. Although fast, this version still produces videos with high resolutions, which is up to 720p.
Users can produce 8-second video clips with audio support. To create it, users need to explain the scene, visual style, and background music. They can also provide dialogue or background noise for their videos.
The video creation process can take a few minutes. Once completed, users can download clips that already have a 'Veo' watermark. This watermark will appear in the bottom right corner of the generated video.

Gemini CEO Josh Woodward previously hinted at this trial through social media. He said that Google was preparing multiple TPUs (Tensor Processing Units) to support this initiative.
To access this feature, users only need to open their Gemini app. If there is no notification, they can tap the three-dot menu in the command bar. There will appear a new option in the form of a chip labeled 'Video: Produce with Veo'.
For information, Google AI Pro subscribers have gained access to this feature since July. They can create three Veo 3 Fast videos per day. Ultra AI customers have wider access, including the ability to turn photos into videos.
