Dutch Foreign Minister Resigns From Government, Feeling Confined By Israeli War In Gaza
Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp resigned from his cabinet on Friday ahead of schedule due to the government's stance on Israel's war in Gaza.
Veldkamp said the Dutch government did not support additional measures against Israel regarding Gaza and plans for the occupied West Bank.
"I feel a refusal in the cabinet to take additional steps," he said.
The Dutch government 'runtuh' on June 3. The interim minority government is expected to remain in power until a coalition government forms after the October general election, which may take months.
Israel launched a military offensive aimed at seizing control of Gaza City, relocating civilians to the south, disbanding Hamas, and creating pressure for the release of hostages.

Earlier on Friday, a global hunger monitoring agency officially designated the residents of Gaza City and its surroundings to suffer from starvation. Israel has dismissed the findings as false and biased.
