Starlink Confirmed Installed At 49 Points In Jayapura
A total of 49 Starlink-based internet access points have been installed in Jayapura Regency, including in the archipelago as an effort to expand the reach of digital services for the community.
Head of the Papua Province Diskominfo Jeri Agus Yudianto in Jayapura, Friday, said that granting internet access itself is a local government program.
"So we on Thursday (21/8) together with the technical team carried out monitoring and socialization of the internet service equipment at seven beneficiary locations, one of which was in Demta District," he said.
According to Jeri, his party socialized the internet service apparatus, one of which was in Demta District, Jayapura Regency.
The socialization locations include three archipelagic areas, namely Meukisi Village, Sinoxi and Bukisi.
"The presence of this satellite-based service is the answer to limited internet access in remote areas," he said.
He explained that the Papua Provincial Government continues to encourage the use of digital technology for people to remote areas.

"For this reason, the presence of Starlink must really be utilized, especially in schools, health services, and village governments, so that public services are more advanced and equitable," he said.
He added that the service received a positive response from the community, especially educators.
YPK Elementary School teacher Sion Meukisi, Maria Yowei conveyed that the presence of the Starlink internet helped teaching and learning activities.
"The installed VSAT Starlink device is equipped with an access point with a range of 50 100 meters and a speed of 200350 Mbps," he said.
