Putin Wants To Explore Energy Cooperation With The US In The Arctic Zone

JAKARTA - Moscow and Washington are discussing a possible cooperation in Russia's Arctic Zone and the state of Alaska in the United States.

"We own several companies, especially Novatek, which is one of our major companies engaged in natural gas disbursement," Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a meeting with nuclear industry workers.

This work, continued Putin, was carried out in collaboration with many partners, both from Europe and Asia.

"We are discussing with American partners we are likely to cooperate in this field, not only in our Arctic zone but also in Alaska," Putin said.

According to him, Russia currently has unique technology in this field, which attracts Russian partners, including in the United States. "The Arctic Zone, the Northern Sea Route, and your work there have great prospects and are growing very rapidly," he stressed.
