Man In Bandung Dies Persecuted With Bisbol Stick, 2 People Become Suspects

Bandung Police arrested 11 suspected perpetrators of the beating that killed a resident with the initials JA (25) in Baleendah District, Bandung Regency, West Java.

Bandung Police Chief Kombes Aldi Subartono said the victim who was riding a motorcycle passed by a group of people riding four motorbikes.

"Without a clear reason, the victim was immediately attacked and suffered a serious head injury. The victim had received treatment at the Welas Asih Hospital, but was declared dead," Aldi said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 22.

Based on the autopsy results at the Sartika Asih Police Hospital, it was shown that the victim died from blunt violence on the front of the head which resulted in skull fractures, brain damage, and bleeding.

The police have also conducted investigations and processed the crime scene. From CCTV footage, the team identified and secured 11 suspected perpetrators in the Baleendah, Bojongsoang, and Dayeuhkolot areas on Sunday (10/8).

"Two people have been named as the main suspects, both are minors," said Aldi.

Aldi said that the HMN perpetrator played a role in hitting the victim with a baseball bat, while RG acted as a motorcycle jockey.

The police also confiscated evidence in the form of CCTV footage, four motorbikes, clothes, and three helmets, while baseball bats are still being sought.

"We are still investigating the motive for this beating and ensuring that all parties involved will be prosecuted," said Aldi.

For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 170 paragraph (2) to (3) of the Criminal Code regarding beatings that resulted in the death of a person with a threat of 12 years in prison.
