U-21 Men's Volleyball World Championship Results: Indonesia Comeback Wins First Victory
JAKARTA Indonesia managed to secure the first victory from the preliminary round of Group D of the 2025 U-21 Men's Volleyball World Championship or FIVB Volleyball Men's U-21 World Championship 2025.
The victory was obtained against Tunisia on Friday, August 22, 2025, WIB night. Indonesia managed to rise from the first set and ended the match with a score of 3-1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-18, and 25-19).
At the beginning of the first set, everything went well for Indonesia. After the first point was missed, Anwar Sadat's squad got up and won 5-2 over Tunisia.
Unfortunately, after that the appearance of the Garuda Muda squad began to waver so Tunisia identified a score of 7-7. The two countries then took turns scoring.

This momentum lasted until 15-15 before Tunisia managed to score three consecutive points to excel. Indonesia had approached 20-21, but failed to win.
Tunisia then got the first three points in the second set to surprise Indonesia. Muhammad Reyhan's efforts and colleagues to pursue bear fruit so that the position changed 10-10.
After that chasing numbers was completely unavoidable. However, after 16-16, Indonesia managed to turn ahead and continued to defend until they won.
Indonesia's good performance then continued to the third set with three consecutive points. Tunisia had reduced it to 3-4, but their efforts to equalize it were unsuccessful.
Indonesia then responded with four points in a row to leave the opponent. The attacking game and the strong defense of the Garuda Muda team after that made it difficult for opponents to find their rhythm.
Moving to the fourth set, Indonesia got crazier after failing to get the first point. Their dominance could no longer be blocked until they locked the victory.
Previously in the first match yesterday, the Red-White Squad was beaten 0-3 by Italy. However, the latest victory has made Indonesia now move up fourth in the Group D standings with a collection of three points.
Indonesia still has three group stage matches after this. Consecutively against Ukraine on Saturday, August 23, 2025; versus Argentina on Monday, August 25, 2025; and France on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
