Winning WJD Batam, PGN Signs Contract With PGAS Solution

JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), signed a collaboration with its subsidiary, PT PGAS Solution, as a jargas development partner at the PGN Headquarters.

This signing is a concrete step in providing lower-energy emissions that are more equitable to the community, as part of the 2025 2029 RPJMN stage with an additional target of 100,000 house connections (SR) this year.

The jargas development area that is included in the scope of cooperation includes Surabaya and Batam.

PTH Director of Infrastructure and Technology PGN, Rosa Permata Sari, hopes that this project can be carried out with optimal performance, so as to be able to provide quality results while ensuring customer satisfaction and related stakeholders.

He added that PGN always echoed the aspiration to become an aggregator of Indonesian natural gas, not only for the growth of the company, but also to support alignment with the President's Asta Cita in realizing the nation's independence through self-sufficiency in energy.

With this role, the fulfillment of supply to the use of infrastructure can be optimized more efficiently.

"We hope that infrastructure utilization is not only limited to the electricity, fertilizer and industrial sectors, but can also reach final customers, including MSMEs and household segments," said Rosa, Friday, August 22.

The event was also attended by the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) and the Directorate General of Oil and Gas (Ditjen Migas).

Head of BPH Migas, Erika Retnowati, expressed her support for the development of gas lines during the energy transition period, considering that natural gas energy has cleaner characteristics than other fossil energy.

This signing is an important milestone. The hope is that development will not only take place in Surabaya and Batam, but also continue to other locations. In addition, the focus is not only on development, but also on utilization and utilization for the community," said Erika.

Erika believes this can encourage the implementation of infrastructure development commitments, especially in Batam, where PGN won the auction for the Distribution Network Area (WJD).

That way, development can take place faster than the target set and the benefits can be felt by the community immediately.
