2025/2026 Super League Results: Arema Earns Three Points, Semen Padang Draws
JAKARTA - The two home teams in the third week of the 2025/2026 Super League experienced contrasting results. Arema FC, who hosted Bhayangkara FC, secured three points, while Semen Padang was held to a draw by PSM Makassar.
Arema FC, the home team, hosted Bhayangkara FC at Kanjuruhan Stadium in Malang Regency on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 3:30 PM WIB.
With this advantage, the Singo Edan squad immediately dominated the match. However, Bhayangkara's defense, led by Slavko Damjanovic, proved too strong to penetrate.
Instead of taking the lead, Arema FC conceded in the 10th minute. Bhayangkara opened the scoring 1-0 through a powerful strike from Fareed Sadat after clearing a goalmouth scramble.
This situation caught the home team by surprise. Singo Edan immediately responded. However, Dalberto's attacks and shots were off target.
Arema finally equalized in the 39th minute. The goal came from a low cross that the Bhayangkara back line attempted to clear.
However, the ball rose high and landed at Dalberto's feet, who easily slotted it into the net. The score remained 1-1 until halftime.
As the second half progressed, the tempo of the match intensified. Both teams traded attacks, but to no avail.
No further goals were scored throughout the 90 minutes of regulation time. The referee then added five minutes of injury time.
The match became increasingly tense as both teams continued to exert pressure. At this point, Dalberto went down in the penalty box after contact with Bhayangkara defender Ferrari, but the referee ruled it out.
After checking the VAR, referee Tri awarded Bhayangkara a penalty. Dalberto stepped up and beat goalkeeper Awan Setho, making the match 2-1.
In another match taking place simultaneously, Semen Padang hosted PSM Makassar at Haji Agus Salim Stadium in Padang, but the score ended 1-1.
Semen Padang took the lead through Bruno Gomes in the 28th minute, but PSM Makassar equalized through Abu Kamara's penalty in the 74th minute.
The result of this match puts Arema at the top of the standings with seven points, while Bhayangkara remains stuck in 15th place with one point.
Semen Padang sits in seventh place with four points, while PSM, with three points, sits in 10th place.
