Ronaldo Kwateh Still Absent From Defending Semen Padang Vs PSM Makassar

It is certain that Ronaldo Kwateh will not be able to go down when Semen Padang FC host PSM Makassar in the third week of the 2025/2026 Super League due to injury.

Semen Padang FC coach Eduardo Almeida said Ronaldo was still in the injury recovery stage. The condition of the former Muangthong United player continues to be observed ahead of the match at Haji Agus Salim Stadium, Padang, on Friday, August 22, 2025, afternoon WIB.

"Ronaldo (Kwateh) is not ready to play because he still needs time to recover his injury," Almeida said in a statement before the match quoted from Antara Friday, August 22, 2025.

The coach also said Ronaldo was able to undergo training, but was not ready for the match because he was still being monitored seriously.

"He did get minutes of training, but is not ready to be taken down against PSM Makassar," Almeida said about Ronaldo's potential for the line-up against PSM.

According to Almeida, the most important thing is that Ronaldo is now returning his fitness and touch. He did not want to rush into playing the 20-year-old striker which will be fatal.

From the beginning of recruiting Ronaldo from Muangthong United, Almeida had understood and knew about Ronaldo's condition. For him this is part of the risk of buying players.

"So, when we brought Ronaldo here, we already knew and understood about the process," said the former Arema FC coach.
