Governor Dedi Mulyadi's Team Down To MAN 1 Bogor, Extortion Issues Confirmed Hoax

BOGOR - Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Bogor Regency, West Java, ensures that there is no practice of illegal levies (extortion) in the process of accepting New Student Participants (PPDB) for the 2025/2026 school year.

Head of Administration MAN 1 Bogor, Rahmatulloh, emphasized that the clarification was after the team from the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, conducted a direct search of the location.

"Today, the KDM Governor's Team has visited MAN 1 Bogor and the results show that the news of the alleged extortion is not true," he said, quoted by ANTARA Thursday, August 21.

Rahmatulloh explained, MAN 1 Bogor is a work unit under the Ministry of Religion that is subject to official regulations, including the formation of the Madrasah Committee in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Religion (PMA) No. 16 of 2020.

The committee functions as a madrasa partner, especially if there is a program that requires support from parents.

He added that the MAN 1 Bogor Committee was only formed on August 7, 2025, democratically and until now it has never held a meeting with parents regarding madrasas programs or other forms of support as regulated in the PMA.

"Therefore, information regarding the existence of levies on a sum of money cannot be verified as true or can be called a hoax," he said.

His party emphasized that MAN 1 Bogor is always open to criticism and suggestions to support the advancement of education, as long as it is conveyed based on logical facts and arguments.

"We hope that this clarification will be the answer to the hoax issue circulating against MAN 1 Bogor," he concluded.
