PLN Operates Again 4 SPKLU Center Locations At The Momentum Of The Republic Of Indonesia's Independence Day
PT PLN (Persero) inaugurated four new SPKLU Centers located in Rest Area 319B Pemalang, Rest Area 275A Tegal, Rest Area 228A Cirebon, and PLN UP3 Cirebon. This new SPKLU Center complements the network, which previously operated on the Jagorawi and Surapati Toll Rest Area 38B. Bandung.
The SPKLU Center is a large-scale electric vehicle charging center with a minimum of 10 charger connectors. This infrastructure is built in strategic locations and is equipped with integrated facilities and management to increase the convenience of EV users.
PLN's Executive Vice President for the Development of Commercial Products, Ririn Rachmawardini explained that this SPKLU Center can serve electric vehicle users in charging simultaneously.
"Alhamdulillah, we can inaugurate four SPKLU Centers, where one SPKLU Center can provide a minimum of 10 parking slots. Initially maybe we were just points, one place only one or two places to charge. The locations that were inaugurated today are very strategic locations," Ririn said in a statement to the media, quoted Friday, August 22.
Ririn explained, in Rest Area 319B Pemalang, the SPKLU Center is equipped with 13 four-wheeled electric vehicle charging connectors. The technology used includes 6 units of SPKLU DC Ultra Fast Charging, and 1 unit of SPKLU AC Medium Charging. To increase the convenience of electric vehicle users, SPKLU Lounge is provided for motorists who are charging.
Meanwhile, the Rest Area KM 275A Tegal is equipped with 10 connectors, consisting of 2 SPKLU AC Medium Charging Units, 1 SPKLU DC Fast Charging unit and 3 SPKLU DC Ultra Fast Charging units.
Meanwhile, in the Rest Area KM 228A Cirebon, there are 10 connectors available, including 3 units of SPKLU AC Medium Charging, 2 units of SPKLU DC Fast Charging and 2 units of SPKLU DC Ultra Fast Charging.
Not only on toll roads, the SPKLU Center is also present at PLN UP3 Cirebon which provides 10 connectors for four wheels, consisting of 2 units of SPKLU AC Medium Charging, and 4 units of SPKLU DC Ultra Fast Charging. In addition, 1 unit of Two-wheeled SPKLU (R2) is available with 6 connectors for charging electric motors. This location is also equipped with a SPKLU Lounge facility.

Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications and TJSL, Gregorius Adi Trianto, said that the success of this development could not be separated from the synergy between PLN and strategic partners, local governments, and other stakeholders.
"We want to ensure that in the future, every electric vehicle user can carry out charging easily, quickly, and comfortably. Therefore, we invite all stakeholders to collaborate in providing electric vehicle infrastructure to be evenly distributed throughout the country," said Gregorius.
As a form of support, PLN also provides discounts of up to 50 percent or a maximum of IDR 175 million for new pairs and additional electricity for SPKLU providers and Public Electric Vehicle Battery Exchange Stations (SPBKLU), as well as owners of KBLBB private charging installations for public transportation. This program is expected to encourage more and more partners to participate in the provision of electric vehicle infrastructure in Indonesia.
