MedcoEnergi Receives Approval to Extend Production at Bualuang Oil Field in Thailand

JAKARTA - PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MedcoEnergi), through its subsidiaries Medco Energi Thailand (Bualuang) Limited and Medco Energi Thailand (E&P) Limited, has received approval from the Thai government to extend the production period of the Bualuang Oil Field, or Block B8/38, in the Gulf of Thailand.

MedcoEnergi President Director Roberto Lorato stated that the production period extension until October 23, 2035, supports operational sustainability and strengthens the company's commitment to the region.

"The company's long-term development plan is aimed at increasing Bualuang production and maximizing asset value through investments in debottlenecking, workovers, development well drilling, and exploration around the working area," he said on Thursday, August 21.

He stated that the extension of Bualuang's production period aligns with MedcoEnergi's strategic priorities to ensure sustainable growth and strengthen its position as a leading energy company in Southeast Asia.
