Explosion Of Fire Flower Warehouse In Karachi Pakistan Injures 34 People
JAKARTA - The explosion in a fireworks warehouse in Karachi, Pakistan's largest city, injured 34 people on Thursday. The loud explosion resulted in damage around the scene.
Warehouses and several nearby shops caught fire after the explosion, which was followed by several small explosions. This incident made residents run to save themselves on a crowded road in the port city.
Smoke billowed from a multilevel building as firefighters tried to extinguish the fire, local news channels reported. There are no indications of the cause of the explosion.
The impact of the explosion was strong enough to break the glass in the surrounding shops, showering people on the streets with broken glass.

It was reported that 34 injured people were hospitalized, said Sumaiya police official Tariq. Four of them are in critical condition.
"I think some bombs have exploded," Aqib Khan resident told reporters.
CCTV surveillance camera footage broadcast by local Geo News television channel showed people running and motorists turning their vehicles around in a hurry.
The explosion came a day after heavy rains flooded the city.
