Sri Mulyani Reveals Yield 6.9 Percent Reflection Of Efforts To Reduce State Deficit Costs

JAKARTA - The government has set the assumption that the 10 year tenor state securities (SBN) yield is 6.9 percent in the 2026 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget Draft (APBN).

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that this figure reflects the government's determination to maintain macroeconomic stability, increase market participants' confidence, and reduce budget deficit financing costs.

The 10-year tenor state securities letter is indicated at a yield level of 6.9 percent. This level illustrates that the government will continue to strive to maintain macro credibility to create confidence in reducing the budget deficit costs," Sri Mulyani said at the DPR Plenary Session, Thursday, August 21.

In addition, he said that the Government also assumed that the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar was in the range of Rp. 16,500, which was used as the basis for calculations in the preparation of the APBN.

Sri Mulyani emphasized that the projected exchange rate is not a target of exchange rates, but merely as a technical benchmark in planning the state budget.

He also added that coordination between the government and Bank Indonesia will continue to be strengthened, in order to ensure that fiscal and monetary policies run in harmony in order to maintain stability and encourage economic growth.
