The Spirit Of Efficiency, The Use Of PGN's Natural Gas At The Ministry Of Defense And The TNI Continues

PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) is committed to providing natural gas to meet the needs of the Ministry of Defense (Kemenhan) and the Indonesian National Army (TNI). The cooperation between the Ministry of Defense and PGN was inaugurated through a Joint Agreement on Tuesday, August 19, as well as continuing the cooperation that has been well established since 2018.

PGN provides natural gas for cooking, wholesalers and so on at the Ministry of Defense facilities. PGN also ensures that the availability of natural gas in the Ministry of Defense facilities is distributed optimally and efficiently. The use of natural gas as efficient energy is in line with the government's efficiency program.

"The government expects efficiency in the use of the budget. So we hope that the role of PGN can provide energy altenatives to meet greater and more efficient demand. In addition, the Ministry of Defense and PGN can jointly prepare infrastructure for environmentally friendly energy in the future," said Director General of Defense at the Ministry of Defense, Young Marshal TNI H. Haris Haryanto.

PGN also upholds the spirit of efficiency, so PGN synergizes with the government to help optimize cost and savings by using natural gas, both pipelines, CNG and LNG. This collaboration with the Ministry of Defense is also a tangible form in optimizing domestic production in the form of natural gas to support the government's energy self-sufficiency target and energy security," explained PGN President Director Arief S. Handoko on the same occasion.

PGN's natural gas service is part of PGN's move to support important state defense institutions, with more efficient, practical and environmentally friendly energy. PGN ensures optimal quality of natural gas services for the Ministry of Defense and the TNI, through routine maintenance, pipeline rejuvenation, and other efforts to minimize operational disruption.

PGN has served facilities belonging to the Ministry of Defense including Navy Mess, Army and TNI Headquarters by distributing natural gas distribution volumes of >10,000 M3 per month. This service is spread across various regions, namely in Medan, Cirebon, Bogor, Jakarta and Tarakan City.

Support from the Ministry of Defense has also played an important role for PGN, one of which is in securing the distribution of existing natural gas and developing markets and infrastructure in the future. A sustainable synergy with the Ministry of Defense, can increase strength for PGN in ensuring the reliability and availability of natural gas distribution for the community.
