Wamenaker Noel Netted OTT KPK, Minister Of Manpower Yassierli: Heavy Blow For Us
JAKARTA - Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli raised his voice after the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted a hand arrest operation (OTT) against the Deputy Minister of Manpower (Kemnaker) Immanuel Ebenezer alias Noel.
Yassierli admitted that he was concerned and regretted the case. According to him, this incident was a serious blow to the Ministry of Manpower's extended family. Moreover, he said, the Ministry of Manpower was indeed intensively making improvements.
"For me and the big family of the Ministry of Manpower, this is a tough blow, especially since I was sworn in as Minister of Manpower or in the last 10 months, I have been doing a lot of improvements and structuring, especially regarding integrity, professionalism, and service improvement," he said at a press conference, at the Ministry of Manpower Office, Jakarta, Thursday, August 21.
Yassierli said that his party respects the legal process that is being carried out, and fully supports the KPK's steps in taking action against corruption perpetrators.
"In line with the President's direction that there is no tolerance for corrupt behavior, so I have asked officials and ranks at the Ministry of Manpower to sign the Integrity Pact and are ready to be removed if they commit acts of corruption," he said.

Khusus dalam program Sertifikasi Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3), Yassierli juga telah mewajibkan penandatanganan komitmen antikorupsi, tidak hanya di internal Kemnaker tetapi juga melibatkan hampir seribu Perusahaan Jasa K3 (PJK3) di Indonesia.
“Ini baru selesai sebenarnya dan untuk membuat komitmen supaya tidak ada praktik suap, pemerasan, dan/atau gratifikasi,” ujarnya.
Di sisi lain, Yassierli mengajak masyarakat untuk ikut serta mengawasi dan melaporkan jika masih menemukan praktik menyimpang di lingkungan pelayanan Kemnaker.
“Kami juga meminta masyarakat untuk aktif melaporkan apabila masih ada praktik tersebut,” tuturnya.

Especially in the Work Safety and Health Certification (K3) program, Yassierli has also required the signing of an anti-corruption commitment, not only within the Ministry of Manpower but also involving nearly a thousand K3 Service Companies (PJK3) in Indonesia.
"This has just been completed actually and to make a commitment so that there is no practice of bribery, extortion, and/or gratification," he said.
On the other hand, Yassierli invites the public to participate in supervising and reporting if they still find deviant practices in the Ministry of Manpower's service environment.
"We also ask the public to actively report if there is such practice," he said.
