MATARAM - West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police are investigating a case of alleged illegal levies (extortion) by parking management and main lobby gate guards at Lombok International Airport (BIL).

"Yes, that's right. We are handling this case on the follow-up to the complaint report," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the NTB Police, Kombes FX. Endriadi was reported by ANTARA, Thursday, August 21.

The complaint report was followed up with the issuance of the assignment letter Number: SP.Gas/308/VII/2025/Dit Reskrimsus, dated July 15, 2025. The reported party in this case is PT Angkasa Pura as the manager of BIL.

Due to the complaint report, the police carried out a series of data collection and information material, one of which scheduled a request for clarification from the reported party and the reporter.

"What has been complained (PT Angkasa Pura) has been investigated or questioned," he said.

In order to see the existence of an element of unlawful acts, the police also scheduled a request for expert opinion, one of which was related to criminal law.

Separately, Lombok International Airport Public Relations Angga Maruli admitted that his party respected the alleged extortion report.

"Of course we fully support the ongoing process in the police," he said.

Angkasa Pura sees this report as part of a form of public control over BIL management.
