Clashes In August In Bogor, One Resident Dies
Bogor Police Satreskrim officers arrested a perpetrator of bloody clashes between villages during the Indonesian August or 80th Anniversary in Jasinga, Bogor Regency. The perpetrator with the initials AF (20) is suspected of killing Sanger (45) with a sharp weapon.
Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto said the perpetrator who was caught on camera while attacking the victim was arrested in Leuwiliang and has now been detained by the police.
"We have secured the AF perpetrators, and are currently undergoing examination at the Mako Polres," said Wikha, Thursday, August 21.
The clash occurred on Sunday, August 17 evening between hundreds of residents of Parung Sapi Village and Peuteuy Village, Kalong Sawah Village, Jasinga District. The incident was triggered by an old grudge due to chaos in an inter-village soccer match (Pordes) at the end of last July. Even though the tournament was stopped at that time, the conflict was not resolved, triggering clashes during the August parade.
