Ukraine Is Preparing Security Security Military Components
JAKARTA - Ukrainian Presidential Chief of Staff Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Wednesday work was underway to establish military components from security guarantees for Ukraine as part of the settlement of the war with Russia.
"Our team, especially the military, has started active military component-related work from security guarantees," Andriy Yermak wrote in English on social platform X after a meeting of national security advisers from Western countries and NATO.
Yermak said Ukraine was also planning with its allies on how to proceed "if the Russian side continues to extend the war and disrupt the agreement on the format of meeting bilateral and trilateral leaders."
A Western official previously told Reuters a small group of military leaders resumed discussions in Washington to formulate security guarantee options for Ukraine after a larger virtual meeting ended.
