IPhone 17 Becomes The Last With Camera Control Button
JAKARTA - According to rumors, the Camera Control button on the iPhone 17 may be the last time it will appear. A leaker from China with a less trustworthy track record claims that Apple will remove this feature to save production costs.
Camera Control button, which was first introduced to the iPhone 16 Pro model, serves as the shutter button on the iPhone body. However, according to a post on Weibo on Tuesday, August 19, a leaker called "OvO" said that the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro are likely to be the last models to have this button.
The leaker said that Apple had notified its suppliers not to order the Camera Control button components anymore.

The reason behind the deletion of this button, according to the leaker, is because Apple finds that users rarely take advantage of the feature. In addition, this button still requires some improvements. The deletion of this button is also said to help Apple reduce production costs.
However, the truth of these rumors is still doubtful. "OvO" does not have a strong track record as an independent leak source, and leakers on Weibo often only collect information from other sources without confirming its accuracy.
This rumor also stands alone without the support of other trusted sources, such as reports from supply chains that are usually more accurate. Therefore, these rumors are considered less convincing.
