In Front Of The DPR, KAI's Managing Director Calls Revenue Reaches IDR 16.83 Trillion

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI Bobby Rasyidin said KAI's annual income was 2 percent. Currently, KAI's revenue is recorded at IDR 16.83 trillion.

"In Semester I-2025, KAI's revenue was Rp. 16.83 trillion, an increase from the first semester of 2024 of Rp. 16.58 trillion," he said in a meeting with Commission VI of the DPR, at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 20.

KAI also noted that net profit during the first semester of 2025 increased by 8 percent to Rp1.18 trillion from the period in which 2024 shares amounted to Rp1.10 trillion.

Meanwhile, Bobby said, KAI's EBITDA also increased quite significantly 18 percent to IDR 4.05 trillion from IDR 3.45 trillion. Meanwhile, assets and liabilities in the first semester of this year, which assets rose to IDR 102.3 trillion while liabilities rose to IDR 65.7 trillion.

Furthermore, Bobby said that this profit was driven by an increase in passenger volume and increased freight transportation by single digits.

"In terms of passenger transport volume, we rose 9 percent, it became 236 million passengers. Our volume of goods rose 1 percent, very thinly increased, it rose to 33.3 million tons, and in terms of OTP, on time performance, we fell from 96.8 percent to 96.2 percent," he said.

On the other hand, Bobby also revealed that train accidents also experienced a significant decline.

He claimed that accidents fell 50 percent from 4 train accidents to 2 train accidents.

"The train accident compared to 2024, it also dropped 50 percent from 4 train accidents to 2 train accidents," he explained.

Kemudian, Bobby bilang jika dilihat dari rasio utang terhadap ekuitas (debt to equity ratio) sedikit naik di tahun 2025 ini dari 1,2 kali itu menjadi 1,3 kali.

“Kalau kita lihat juga total debt penugasan vs dengan non-penugasan, itu tahun 2025 semester I naik menjadi Rp46,5 triliun dibandingkan pada tahun 2024 yang sebesar Rp43,2 triliun. Kita lihat juga penyerapan kerugian, proyek penugasan juga turun dari semester I tahun 2024 Rp 2,37 triliun menjadi Rp1,42 triliun,” katanya.

Then, Bobby said that if you look at the debt-to-equity ratio, it will slightly increase in 2025 from 1.2 times to 1.3 times.

"If we also look at the total debt assignment vs with non-assumment, it will increase in 2025 semester I to Rp46.5 trillion compared to 2024 which amounted to Rp43.2 trillion. We also see the absorption of losses, the assignment project also decreased from the first semester of 2024 to Rp2.37 trillion to Rp1.42 trillion," he said.
