Early Morning Deputy Governor Of Southeast Sulawesi Holds Inspection: 87 Percent Of ASN Present, But Some Can't Be Contacted

KENDARI - Deputy Governor of Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra), Hugua, conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) at the Southeast Sulawesi Food Security Service (Disketapang) to check the discipline of the state civil apparatus (ASN) and the quality of public services.

The inspection was carried out on Wednesday morning at the Disketapang office in Kendari. From the results of the inspection, the ASN attendance rate was considered quite good, with 87 percent of the total 64 ASN present at the morning rally starting at 07.30 WITA.

"This can be said to be quite good discipline. This reflects that slowly but surely, the authorities in Southeast Sulawesi are starting to institutionalize a disciplined culture," said Hugua as quoted by Antara.

From the data collected during the inspection, it is known that ten ASN did not attend without information, while the other two were on leave because there were official affairs outside the city.

Hugua emphasized that enforcement of ASN discipline is a priority for his leadership with Governor Andi Sumangerukka. According to him, a high level of attendance is one of the main indicators of bureaucratic readiness to support regional progress.

"This reflects that Southeast Sulawesi in the future is certain, God willing, to be more advanced because it is reflected in its increasingly disciplined ASN," said the former Wakatobi Regent.

On that occasion, Hugua also highlighted the lack of optimal application of electronic attendance in most regional apparatus organizations (OPD). Currently, some OPDs still use manual attendance systems that are prone to be circumvented and do not reflect the real presence.

"If electronic attendance is still being circumvented, then manual attendance will still be used as a comparison. But in the future, manual attendance is expected to no longer be used, because it is only a cross-check tool," he said.

Hugua ensured that inspections were not just a formality, but a form of direct supervision of discipline and public services within the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Government.

“Sidak ini selama saya masih jadi Wakil Gubernur Sultra, akan terus dilakukan sampai kedisiplinan ini menjadi life style atau budaya,” pungkasnya.
