Spotify Presents Song Transition Effects For Premium Users

JAKARTA Spotify launched a new feature to present a more dynamic playlist. This feature launched for premium users is called Customization Transition.

This feature is here to add a transitional effect between songs. That way, Spotify can create a new listening experience. Users can edit their playlists before listening to songs.

There are several transition options to choose from. Users can choose the automatic transition or adjust the transition independently. The transition that can be used is precessive such as rest, rise, or blend.

"Music lovers and playlist experts can easily create unique playlists. The inter-track transition runs smoothly, adjust the flow, and improve your mix with features such as volume, EQ, and effect curves," Spotify said, quoted on Wednesday, August 20.

To use the feature, open any playlist and select Mix from the tool bar. When editing, users can customize the settings provided. Users can also view sound wave data and beats per minute (BPM) to determine the best transition point.

This feature allows Spotify to compete with Apple Music's AutoMix feature. This feature is claimed to be able to mix like a DJ and Spotify certainly don't want to be left behind by launching almost the same feature.

Keep in mind that this feature is only available to Premium subscribers in beta. That is, only paid users are eligible and registered as developers who can access transitions between songs.
