Support BI, DANA Presents QRIS Payment Services In Japan

JAKARTA - Coinciding with the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, Bank Indonesia (BI) officially expanded its Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) payment capability in Japan.

Thus, the implementation of inter-state QRIS has now covered ASEAN countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore, and now Japan.

As the organizer of non-bank Payment Services (PJP) in Indonesia, DANA has again taken a role in presenting cross-border payment services in Japan through QRIS DANA.

Through this breakthrough, DANA affirmed its commitment to create a connected and interoperable payment system in the ASEAN region, as well as support the 2030 Indonesian Payment System Blueprint.

"We will ensure that users can transact QRIS smoothly in destination countries and maximize this opportunity to accelerate financial inclusion and encourage digital economic growth," said CEO & Co-Founder of DANA Indonesia, Vince Iswara in a statement.

The strategic collaboration with Bank Indonesia and the Association of Indonesian Payment Systems (ASPI) in the implementation of QRIS Inter-National Affairs emphasized the role of DANA as the main partner in realizing the national vision towards non-cash communities.

With the expansion to Japan, DANA hopes to strengthen Indonesia's position in the global digital payment ecosystem, as well as pave the way for closer cross-border cooperation in the future.
