Chikita Meidy's Husband Skips Mediation Hearing Again, Friends Say He Shows No Good Faith

JAKARTA - Singer Chikita Meidy's divorce proceedings have been delayed again. Her husband, Indra Adhitya, has failed to attend a mediation hearing at the Tigaraksa Religious Court for the second time.

This absence has caused deep disappointment for Chikita Meidy, who was represented by her friend, Yassirni.

Yassirni stated that this is the second time the defendant has failed to appear at a scheduled mediation session.

"Today was supposed to be the mediation session. The defendant didn't show up for the first hearing. Now, at the second mediation hearing, the defendant hasn't shown up again," said Yassirni, Chikita Meidy's friend at the Tigaraksa Religious Court.

According to Yassirni, the judge presiding over the hearing even stated that the defendant's absence could be interpreted as a lack of good faith in resolving the issue.

Furthermore, this process concerns not only the divorce but also the future of their children.

"The judge said that if you don't show up, it means you're not acting in good faith. This marriage isn't just about the divorce, but there are children we both have to fight for," he continued.

The defendant cited illness as the reason for his absence. However, Yassirni doubted this excuse because it lacked valid evidence. She saw it as a form of abdication.

"The excuse is illness. Where's the sick note? We'll ask where the sick note is. So, there's no responsibility to the end, no plan to improve yourself," Yassirni said.

Furthermore, Yassirni highlighted the heavy burden Chikita Meidy had to bear alone. According to her, her husband's absence only further complicated the situation and wasted Chikita's time, who also had to work hard to earn a living and care for her children.

"Imagine a mother, Chikita Meidy, who also has to work hard, who also has to take care of her children, take them to and from school, earn a living—it all comes together. Now, she has to travel back and forth just because you didn't show up," Yassirni said.

For your information, Chikita Meidy is known as a former child singer from the 1990s who became popular for her children's songs. She married Indra Aditya in 2018.

From this marriage, they were blessed with a child. However, their marriage is now on the rocks after Chikita filed for divorce from Indra in the Religious Court.

Chikita's divorce suit was filed on July 3, 2025.
