TikTok Launches New Feature To Find Campus Friends

JAKARTA TikTok has launched a new feature that may be useful for students. This feature called Campus Verification was launched to make a number of students connected while on campus.

With this feature, users can add their campus to the profile. Later, other students from the same campus can do a profile straightening. Before using this feature, users must first verify.

To access the feature, users only need to open the profile and search for the school Add button. After that, enter the school name and select the graduation year. Next, input some of the required requirements.

Users must provide an academic email address to prove that they are students at registered universities. Once verified by the TikTok system, the name of the university and graduation year will appear on the profile.

Users who have registered can view other user profiles by sorting the list. They can display the most followed users at the top.

So far, the feature is already available at more than 6,000 universities, still not in all countries. Although access is still limited, TikTok plans to expand this feature to connect more students in various parts of the world.

That way, the Campus Verification feature can become the center of the connection. If users are worried about their privacy, keep in mind that this feature is optional. Users can choose whether to use the feature or not.
