North Jakarta Coast Potentially Rob Flood Until August 22, Residents Asked To Be Alert
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) appealed to residents of the coast of North Jakarta to anticipate the potential for coastal flooding (Rob) from August 17 to August 22, 2025.
"The public is advised to anticipate the impact of the maximum tide of sea water which has the potential for coastal flooding or tidal flooding," said Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Pusdatin, Mohamad Yohan when confirmed, Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
The phenomenon of maximum tide of sea water coincides with the New Moon phase which has the potential to increase the maximum sea level in the form of coastal flooding or tidal flooding in the northern coastal area of Jakarta.

"The northern coastal areas of DKI Jakarta in question are Kamal Muara, Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, Pluit, Ancol, Kamal, Marunda, Cilincing, Kalibaru, Muara Angke, Tanjung Priok, and Kepulauan Seribu," he said.
