WhatsApp Starts Trial Features For AI Writing Assistance On IOS

JAKARTA WhatsApp launched the latest feature for beta testers on iOS via TestFlight. This feature called Writing Assistance was launched to help users perfect messages before sending them.

This feature is supported by Meta-developed Artificial Intelligence (AI). When you want to retaliate and need a quick fix, this feature will suggest a number of replies or sentences in a tone or style that can be selected.

According to WABetaInfo's findings, when this feature is enabled, the sticker icon in the chat bar will be replaced with a pen symbol when the user types. This symbol indicates that the AI assistant is ready to provide writing advice.

By tapping the pen symbol, users can request improvements to their structure, tone, or message clarity. This feature will make the message preparation process easier and more efficient than before.

Writing assistance offers three or more alternative phrases with five choices of tones. These options include the tone of Parafrase, Professional, Funny, Supporting, and Correction. The following is an explanation from each of the tones.

For now, it is not known when Meta will launch the feature. Although there is no official launch date from Meta yet, the presence of this feature is not expected to take long.
