Many Loss, Application X Continues To Experience A Decrease In The Number Of Downloads On Android

JAKARTA X, formerly known as Twitter, faces quite serious challenges on Android devices. From time to time, the number of installations in the operating system (OS) continues to decline.

This is known after Appfigures shared its latest data. The data shows that the number of new installations of the X application has decreased significantly as the number of downloads on iOS continues to increase.

In July, the number of X downloads on the Google Play Store fell 44 percent on an annual basis (YoY). Meanwhile, the download of the X application on the App Store has increased by 15 percent. This shows a very sharp difference in the two OSs.

The decline in installation numbers on Android has a major impact on the overall statistics of the X application. In total, cellular downloads for the application decreased by 26 percent from year to year (YoY) to July.

This figure actually improved slightly because in June, the total decline reached 35 percent. The company did not provide official speculation about the cause of the decline in the number of downloads.

However, the X application on Android is known to often have technical problems, one of which is a crash. This is also realized by the company. To solve the problem, Head of Product X Nikita Bier announced a strategic step.

Bie revealed that X was recruiting the 'Android Dream Team' some time ago. This recruitment was done to rebuild the Android X application from scratch.

The decline in installations on Android also affected X's subscription revenue. In July, X's net income fell to 16.9 million US dollars (Rp274 billion) from 18.8 million US dollars (Rp305.2 billion) obtained in March.
