The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Will Ask Bareskrim About Handling The Setya Novanto Money Laundering Case

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) through the Deputy for Coordination and Supervision will communicate with Bareskrim Polri to discuss the handling of the money laundering crime (TPPU) of former Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives Setya Novanto. They want to know how far the handling of the case is.

The Directorate of Certain Economic Crimes at Bareskrim Polri is known to have handled the alleged money laundering crime (TPPU) Setya Novanto since 2018 based on the Investigation Order Number: SP.Sidik/337/VII/RES.2.3/2018/Dit.Tipideksus. This case is suspected to be related to the corruption of the Electronic KTP (e-KTP) procurement project which has actually been handled by the KPK.

"We from the Deputy for Enforcement and Execution will coordinate with the Deputy for Korsup to ask for information regarding the progress of handling the TPPU case," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, August 19.
