Reconstruction Of The Shooting Case Of Brigpol Ronal, Police Secure KKB Perpetrators

TIMIKA - The Cartenz 2025 Peace Operations Task Force together with the Puncak Jaya Police Criminal Investigation Unit carried out a reconstruction of the crime scene (TKP) for the shooting of Brigpol Ronal M. Enok in Kampung Lima-Lima, Pagaleme District, Puncak Jaya Regency, Central Papua, Monday 18 August

Head of Peace Operations Cartenz Police Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani accompanied by Deputy Head of Peace Operations Cartenz Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga in a release received by ANTARA in Timika, Tuesday 19 August, said that during the activity, the team of investigators led by the Head of the Gakkum Task Force Lidik AKP Safri Panterengi re-imaged the position of the victim, the perpetrator, evidence, and the distance around the scene.

"This crime scene was carried out to clarify the chronology of the shooting incident that occurred on January 21, 2025, resulting in Brigpol Ronal's death," said Faizal.

The results of the crime scene set a number of important points, including the position of the victim while lying down, motorcycles, helmets, and jerry cans containing the victim's kerosene.

In addition, the position of the perpetrator, Kindiku Tabuni alias Gumbanak, was also described when shooting the victim and the position of the vehicle used by the other perpetrator, namely Konara Enumbi.

Konara Enumbi was arrested by personnel from the Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force on Friday (15/8) at 10.40 WIT at a honai in Kampung Expels Front, Puncak Jaya Regency.

Konara is suspected of being directly involved in the action with the armed criminal group (KKB) led by Bumiwalo Telenggen.

Currently, the person concerned has been secured and is undergoing further investigation by the Puncak Jaya Police investigators.

Not only that, the discovery of evidence in the form of three 9 mm caliber bullet casings and two gold yellow projectiles became part of important evidence.

The team also noted the distance between positions in detail, from the position of the victim to the location of the evidence found. The data will strengthen the investigation process and legal evidence against the perpetrators.

Faizal said this activity was part of a professional law enforcement effort against armed criminal groups who often spread armed crimes in Papua.

"This reconstruction is an important step in ensuring the clarity of the chronology of events, as well as strengthening the available evidence so that the perpetrators can be processed according to applicable law. The Damai Cartenz Ops Task Force is committed to thoroughly investigating the shooting case against the late Brigpol Ronal M. Enok," said Faizal.

On the same occasion, the Head of the Cartenz Peace Operations Public Relations Task Force, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, appealed to the public not to be influenced by provocative issues and to continue to cooperate with security forces.

"We invite all the people of Puncak Jaya to work together to maintain a conducive situation. Immediately report if they know of suspicious activities from armed groups. The Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force will continue to be present to maintain security and protect residents," said Yusuf.
