Australian Government Rejects Israel's Right Winged Politician Visa, Simcha Rothman

JAKARTA - The Australian government canceled the visa of Israel's far-right politician Simcha Rothman, who supports the plan to move Palestinians out of Gaza and calls Palestinian children an "enemy", ABC News reported on Monday.

Australian Interior Minister Tony Burke firmly canceled Rothman's visa and barred her from entering the country for three years.

"Our government is firm on people who want to come to our country and spread divisions," Burke said in a statement.

"If you come to Australia to spread hate messages and divisions, we don't want you to be here," he continued.

"Under our rule, Australia will become a country where everyone can feel safe and comfortable," he added.

Australia is known to recognize an independent Palestinian State next month at the UN General Assembly.

Rothman, who is part of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's governing coalition, served as chairman of the Constitutional, Legal and Justice Committee in the Israeli parliament (Knesset).

As a member of Knesset of the extreme far-right party Zionism Religious, he is scheduled to speak in the "organization" of the Australian Jewish Association in Sydney next Thursday.
